CRITIQUE THE WORLD THROUGH POST-ITS

Yesterday Khalil Jamal, a Canadian industrial designer, submitted a photo to 10:15. Not only was the image a subject close to my heart — coffee — but it was really cool to be introduced to his personal portfolio.

He makes futurist mp3 players, rethinks the culinary experience with the “Decide Dish” (get it? instead of the side dish?)…but the concept that I really dig is his Crit-Its. They’re a series of already scripted post-it notes that can be stuck on the world environment at large and used to provide constructive design evaluation of things like posters, signs and objects. Super fun idea and if you’re a designer it plays into that geeky side.
